opnBase is troubleshooters search engine. Whether you're an engineer, software developer, technician, or an end-user; opnBase will help you find the resolution to your issue.

Back in 2018 while working for AppleCare, I set up a Google PSE to index public-facing Apple support articles, as a way to make my job easier. In mid-2024 I revieved the project with the goal of adding support for more than just Apple products.

My goal is to index any major OEM of products, services, software, hardware, machines, or other widgets I might ever use. Hopefully with community support we can expand that to include anything they'd need as well.

In the age of machine-generated content, many have said the Internet as we knew it, is dead. They're wrong. It's just gotten more tricky to navigate.

opnBase doesn't do news, it can't find what's trending, and it won't tell you the weather, but if you need factual information right from the source, it's the only way to go.

opnBase is not technically a search engine, but more of a search wrapper. It's an amalgamation of JavaScript, XML, HTML5, & Pico CSS that interfaces with a Google Programmable Search Engine.

HTML5 and Pico CSS create the foundation for opnBase as you see it, providing responsive formatting and native dark/light mode support on any modern browser.

XML defines the sites to be indexed and adjusts their weights and labels, bringing you only the most relevant and trusted results curated by opnBase.

JavaScript handles dynamic elements and parses content from Google into Pico cards, allowing for a frictionless search experience.
